STEM TEAM Cambridgeshire wins new contract
We STEM TEAM Cambridgeshire, known to you as SETPOINT Cambridgeshire are pleased to confirm that we have agreed new arrangements with STEMNET, for the period 1 August 2008 - 31 March 2011, to be the STEMPOINT contract holder for brokerage of Enhancement and Enrichment (E&E) to all schools and colleges for Cambridgeshire. We will also continue to be the SEAs contract holder for the management and coordination of SEAs in Cambridgeshire. SETPOINT Cambridgeshire/STEMTEAM Cambridgeshire would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Science and Engineering Ambassadors who have volunteered their time to help us over the last few years.

Nuffield Science Bursary Scheme
The Nuffield Science Bursary Scheme is for students in the first year of their A-level course. The scheme gives them the opportunity to join a real research project with practising scientists in any area of STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), that interests them. Projects run for four to six weeks in the summer vacation and students receive £75 a week bursary. - details of the summer 2009 scheme will be emailed to schools in late October 2008.
STEM TEAM Cambridgeshire are looking for hosts to provide projects for our Nuffield Science Bursary applicants for a period of at least 4 weeks over the summer. These are not work placements, but projects which provide the students with experience of scientific research in STEM fields, which have well defined outcomes achievable within the time available and which will contribute to the work of the host organization.
We welcome hosts from academic, commercial and industrial organisations.
