Nuffield Science Bursary Scheme
The Nuffield Science Bursary Scheme is for students in the first year
of their A-level course. The scheme gives them the opportunity to join
a real research project with practising scientists in any area of
STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), that interests
them. Projects run for four to six weeks in the summer vacation and
students receive £75 a week bursary. - details of the summer 2009
scheme will be emailed to schools in late October 2008.
STEM TEAM Cambridgeshire are looking for hosts to provide
projects for our Nuffield Science Bursary applicants for a period of
at least 4 weeks over the summer. These are not work
placements, but projects which provide the students with experience of
scientific research in STEM fields, which have well defined outcomes
achievable within the time available and which will contribute to the
work of the host organization.
We welcome hosts from academic,
commercial and industrial organisations.
